BEWARE! DISHONEST STAFF AT DELIFRANCE JP! BEWARE!!
i’m not spouting nonsense here.
i don’t.
i’m very very very X100 pissed off with them.
they ruined my day.
my birthday
thanks yar! for making my happy birthday into an unhappy one!
and maybe an unforgettable one.
bah.
trust me, i will NEVER EVER patronize the place again!
never ever!
they insulted my integrity, my pride.
will i stoop so low to do such a thing?
will i be so stupid to commit a crime?
what do you take my parents years of parenting for?
what do you take my years of education especially in CME for?

happily, i went into delifrance to dine with dingy and janice in celebration of my birthday. we sat at this table which was dirty. a waitress then came to clear the table and she asked us if a phone on the table belongs to us. well, apparently no. so she took it. ok…so the 3 of us thought that she will return to the customer who comes back to search for it. by right she should right? guess what? she didn’t! she pocketed it!

the customer, a girl and her friend came in to look for the hp. we directed her to the staff. minutes later, they came back together with a bespectacled manager and ask us about the hp. we told them a waitress took it. but we couldn’t remember how the waitress looked like. geez. we didn’t took much notice about the waitress as we were busy talking. besides, they looked quite the same wearing the uniform and the cap, also, the place was quite dimly lit. it’s not our fault tt we couldn’t remember how the waitress look like.

apparently, they searched all their staff’s bag and couldn’t find any hp. the 2 girls den came back to us…we gave them the same ans and offered to let them check our bags. they didn’t. we ordered food and ate. but somehow, i just couldn’t help it but to see that some of the staff were staring at us. what does this show? we are the thieves?? wtH. it just gives me the impression that they are accusing us as the thieves when apparently, we didn’t take the hp. the staff took it! it was the staff! not us!
do you think with my intelligence after committing such petty crime, i will still be in the store eating?
do you think that if we stole the phone, we will let you search our bags?

it was hard to bear. the 3 of us thought hard of how the waitress looked like, but we just couldn’t remember. we only remembered that she was quite short. so, we told another manager, and that manager just told us that they reported to the police…blah blah blah...and i tell you, his attitude is terrible. he, like other staff, make me have the impression that we were the thieves. what crap!

before we left, we went to look for the bespectacled manager. janice told him who we think might be the one who did it. she was kinda impressive, she just went into the kitchen. anyway, the manager was much better with his words. he apologized for the impression tt the staff created. but still, he didn’t conduct an immediate check as it was the peak hours. it’s quite crap tt the management is handling the issue like tt. but, oh well. they are the management, not us. customer is always right? bah!

this is not the 1st time i met other customers forgetting their hp. but such dishonesty of the staff? 1st time. this is such a disgrace! singapore wants to be a service hub? with such dishonest people around? it might take some time….

janice wrote a letter to The Straits Times about the incident and guess what, it was published on ST Forum! although not on the papers itself, but nvm. the straits times published it online after editing. it was a much more emotive letter. but anyway, check out the link!
