Xmas Eve at Nick's House Part 1
one word summarises all. FUN!
meeting up with S18 peeps. xmas feast. playing bridge, daidee, bluff, heart attack, murderer! ohh...my....goodness...! FUN!

oh! i forgot to take photo of the xmas feast! there were salad, pasta, potato (which when put onto the ham looks like an egg, so says waiyee -.-'''), ham, cakes, gingerbread man, tomato soup and turkey. yar. imagine it urself. :)

as the bus goes by a familiar building,
scenes of the past came back to the mind.
the building that was so familiar,
yet with a foreign name.
as the bus travels down the road,
another building bearing a familiar name stands.
the name is still the same,
but gone are the logo and the uniforms.
as the bus moves on,
the commuter muttered sadly,
things change.---the never ending pouring rain on tuesday.
stops and pours,
stops and pours.
the coolness of the air,
the sound of the raindrops,
the music of mother nature.
rain.
the replacement for snow?
the streets may be damp,
but hearts are warmed,
with love of all sorts.

eventful since the end of term tests. i shall let pictures do most of the talkings.
wednesday: end of term tests, out with poly peeps to vivocity. supposed to watch 'happy feet' with cs, jas and kk, in the end there was no tickets. ended up taking photos and shopped around.

then i met up with sooeng and wenjie to buy doris's bday pressie @ jp.
2nd row of photos were taken on friday, met up with some of the odac girls for lunch + shopping @ orchard.
thursday: i went to vivo again. this time with janice and dingy. we walked around and i tried on some Gap clothes for sis.
today (sunday): was supposed to go cycling at ubin with S18 peeps. but due to bad weather (raining meows & woofs), we didn't cycle. instead we went tm and watched 'open season' after stepping afoot onto the concrete jetty of ubin.

momentary liberation! the term tests has finally ended! studied a bit hard tho they were only an hour each. apparently, the house is quite a condusive environment when i'm all alone by myself. but there are times whereby the brain refuses to register any stuff in. oh well.
i'm one day away from the end of my home alone experience. *yay* i miss my family so so so much! i miss being with them, travelling with them!
oh! many realisations. first, i came to realisation on the 2nd day of being home alone - i have to learn how to cook, other than instant noodles! haha! maybe like wat warren suggest, spagetti? worth considering. hehe.
this home alone experience made me realise wat a muddle-headed person i could be. leaving the key to the letter box at the letterbox? like OMG. and i din realise i left it there until when i open my door the evening of the next day and i saw the key dangling at my gate. i'm so grateful to the person who returned me my key.
oh! and i din realise my importance. whahhaa. no lah. the caring side of my uncle. my uncle (dad's bro) will call me constantly to check me up - to see if i've eaten, to remind me to lock all my doors, take my keys, to wake me up and etc. at the beginning i din like it. but slowly i felt his care, like so nice of him. family warmth. hehe. it's so funny at times when he call. when i came home a bit late and i answered his call, he said he thought i purposely dun answer his phone! of coz not. i'm a good girl! haha. anyway, he told me to be careful and dun come home so late (even though i reached home before 10pm). i thought it was nice of him. ahh. family warmth. i feel it. ensuring that the niece arrives home safe and sound. =)
hmm..even though you wun read it or you wun even understand, but thanks Ah Pek! haha. i saw a different side of you which i have never seen before. i think my parents didn't seen it before too. hehe.
ok. super tired. i think i need to clear up the mess i created in one side of my parents' bed, like later or sth. hehe. one more day and i'll see my dearly missed family! =)

gone the first day of being home alone. nothing special. just study, study and study + watch tv . dunno if anything went in my brain.
i made lunch for myself. whahhaa. i cooked instant mee + microwaved chicken franks. actually wanted to take photo and post it, but i thought it looked too ugly. studied again then went for guitar and bought dinner - duck rice. watched tv and studied. then i went to bed.
i'm now 'situated' in my parents' room where there is bed, toilet, tv and etc. well furnished, "fit for human habitation". sorry, rebus stuff. therefore, i dun really step out of the room much. hmm. i dun think i step out of the bed much either. i eat on the bed *oops*, i study on the bed, i watch the tv on the bed, i go online on the bed, i sleep on the bed....yar...i do most things on the bed. hmm, there's no need for table and chairs! whahahhah.
just had my lunch - instant mee+can of peanuts+kick-a-poo. well, i'm kinda regretting my inability to cook, except for instant mee. hahaha. i promise i'll learn how to cook, nxt time. hahhaa. goin to je later for dinner with dingy. yar.
kinda miss my family. i mean they are enjoying man, and i'm cooking instant mee for lunch. haha. but i know they miss me too. hehez. the sms-es and calls. i still dunno how to call them tho. hmm..it's a good experience, i think. if i go further my studies overseas or something, at least i had the experience of being away from my family.
i'm such a plant (flower..LOL) in a greenhouse!
alrighty, time to head back to studies.

yesterday was my birthday. and i kinda believe that birthdays are lucky. haha. =) let me see. this is the first bday i ever spent in school. and it was a "event-ful" day, school wise. birthday wise, not so.
got back math quiz, and yup, got full marks. haha. not bcoz i'm clever, is because of the years of practice. and actually, i shouldn't get full marks. but oh well. then had real estate biz lect, then had FACOM lect...after lunch had FACOM quiz. i think that quiz is kinda goner. dun think i can get good marks. din study until i was very sure, i only had a brief idea. oops. not studious enuff. =X anyway, after FACOM quiz...then was the real estate assignment presentation, i suppose it is the major highlight of the day, school wise lah.
mr raymond had a straight face when he came. i was thinking, jialat, he bad mood. but slowly he kinda lighten up. so heng lah. haha. anyway, kian loong and paxton presented first on their residential sector. mr raymond asked them alot of qns as they presented. SCARY. when they finally finished presenting, mr raymond immediately read aloud their marks - marks for the different components of the assignment, individual presentation marks and their total marks. STRESS. after pax and kl, was farhan and sophii. they did on retail sector, same as my group. halfway thru their presentaion, mr raymond stopped them. apparently, they were out of point. STUNNED. my group started panicking. we were super afraid we were also out of point. a few more groups presented, most of their total scores were around 35-38 out of 50. juz when i thought maybe my group has to present nxt week, i heard my name called out. so, we had to present.
fortunately for us, we were on the right track. *phew* the questions he asked, some we could answer, some we smoked thru. haha. while i was presenting halfway, mr raymond told me to stop moving. lol. apparently, i was swaying, swinging, moving around alot. and i din realised that. i stopped moving, but shortly, i moved again. not fidget, i was swaying. whahhaa. oops. in the end, guess wat! my group did well! even though we missed out on some stuff. but we did well. despite my swaying, i still got full marks for my individual presentation while my groupmates got a mark lower than me. so my total score was....*drum roll* 46/50! WHAHAHAHA. 46/50! felt a huge sense of worthwhile, all the efforts that we put in - goin to chinatown and orchard road on sunday for "site visit", me staying up till 2am then 1am doing the report, staying back in sch till 7pm doing the presentation, doing up the presentation on the mrt rides home, the lack of sleep...i felt that it was all worth it. my whinnings, my anger towards chunsiong and jasmine, sort of came to nought. 46/50! haha.
after the presentation, and after a short chat with mr raymond at the canteen, we went home. jasmine and chunsiong gave me a piggy plushie on the train - my bday gift. i was surprised, coz i wasn't expecting any gifts. i came home and went out again for family birthday dinner. went to imm and ate at long beach restaurant. reached home at 11++ and cut cake. and that's how my bday was spent. pardon for the long REBUS assignment mention. hehe. ok. super tired. goin to sleep soon. time to make up the lack of sleep i had for the past week.
