i shouldn't be blogging now as i should be reading the research materials i have for the assignment due next thurs. but oh well. i'll make it up later..which means...less/no TV! apparently, my group haven't been doing anything except for researching, gathering information. as far as i know, one group is at least almost done with the report and is doing the presentation. helllppp. oh. and it doesn't help when groupmates research and throw you everything they find, asking you if the information they find is suitable. sometimes, i feel like telling them...wth. can't you read and tell me? at least they do stuff i guess. ahh. information overload. and next thurs is supposed to be a good day! very good day! let's hope everything turns out good. need to complete a report and presentation by thurs. i think i'll do the intro + features by myself later. then tml i'll do the types of real estate and case studies together with them.

back to reading the information. i'm learning so much about the retail sector in singapore...which i think i'll forget immediately after completing the report and presentation! lol. wish me luck...for the presentation as well as the FACOM quiz on THURS.

oh oh oh! yesterday Mark Advert came to TP to give talk about Harry's Island. it's very nice! wish i could see wat the other 2 bidders presented. in case you are wondering...he's the chairman of Eighth Wonder. Eighth Wonder's one of the bidders for the Sentosa IR. he came up with the concept of Harry's Island 12 years ago. he's not that much of a fantastic speaker, but he's one imaginative fellow. Harry's Island = Indiana Jones + James Bond. oh. Pele's coming to TP on tues! but i think i'm going to give it a miss. 5-9pm. i'll be dead beat by the time i reach home if i go see him. ok. half an hour more to guitar lesson. the song on my blog doesn't load. think it's too big. super nice song from GOONG! if only shin goon got bigger eyes, it will be nice. haha!

i was watching ruz, regz and some of ruz's friends' cs108 projects. kinda made me, i dunno, a little upset but more veryx3 impressed of the short films they made. i used to want learn how to film short videos, not paparazzi style, but something that is at least of a little depth. there's so much to making a film...coming up with ideas, storylines, scripts, castings, locations then you have to film, and edit. i hope to learn how to do all that. it was the first reason why i wanted to go mass comm.

slowly, i kinda forgot why i wanted to enter into mass comm. all i could remember was 'i want to go into mass comm.' my mum wasn't aware of wat i wanted to do. when she was aware of it, she couldn't really see wat future it had, hence she was unsupportive. anyway, i forgot the basic reason, but i came up with another reason, being a newsperson.

cutting the crap, in the end, i couldn't enter uni at all after 2 yrs in jc. and i'm in poly studying in a field that is of my next interests - IR/tourism. i guess it is my second love. digressing again. anyway, i guess what i want to say is, i remembered the very first reason of wanting to go mass comm - learning to make short films. perhaps one day i should try...making my own short film...very short one. someday...

i am not math pro. haha! but interestingly, sometimes i do teach a teeny weeny bit better than the lecturer cum tutor does. but, matrices is still my weaker link.

feel the stress to do well. coz i'm from jc and i seemed to be able to ans most of the tutors' qns...there is this pressure building up in me. high pressure, high temp....ooh. reminds me of the air-conditioning system. compressor->condenser->refrigerant control->evaporator....haha! ACK!

but then again, you can call me sadistic, but i kinda enjoy the feeling when my brain is forced to think! think! think! must be the lack of exercising my brain for the past 10 months.

kinda enjoyed today despite lessons starting at 8am. ran into RQ at lakeside on my way to sch. talked quite a bit. den saw a junior at the nat lib after sch as me and my friends were finding place to do proj/study. it feels good, i guess, to see familiar faces. perhaps is the absence of familiar faces where i now study.

ok. i shall go revise on some stuff. bonus math mcq test next week.

first time in my life i met a person of a particular profession telling me, 'this is not important.' and "kindly" refuses to answer my query. i wonder, if it's not important why is the question in TUTORIAL?

today was my first REBUS tutorial. interestingly, the last slide of the tutorial states 'this is the best time to clear your doubts'. i left the tutorial class having more question marks than i left lecture. however, i still think REBUS is an interesting module and the tutor is not bad despite him spouting quite a few technical terms which i don't quite understand yet.
'quidquid plantatur solo, solo cedit' - this latin phrase means 'that which is attached to the land is part of the land'. i like REBUS even though it seems difficult to excel!

learning is fun, but i'm feeling a bit tired...the early mornings and long travelling time, gee.
endure! i can do it!

going to have pair discussion tml @ vivo with my classmate after sch. maybe after which, going to do math with some other classmates. dun like gaussian elimination. matrics - my weaker link. =(
