an appreciation to...
my receiver which has been with me for a year plus. *sob*
it seems silly eh? yep kinda. but still, i wld like to acknowledge this trusty little source of entertainment which has been with me for a year plus. i think i misplaced/lost/dropped it somewhere last saturday. (yes, the same fateful day when xx dropped her hp)
anyway, an appreciation to my receiver which doesn't cost anything itself coz i took it from somewhere in a huff (i didn't steal it!). and also to the more expensive things: the 2 AAA batteries that are needed to operate it and the blue, cool and transparent earpiece which cost $2 from daiso!
this trusty little source of entertainment, despite having a few or quite a number of hiccups at some point of time, mainly due to reception problem, it still is trusty. it has accompanied me home almost everyday, walking back home from school, mugging in library and in school, working in the office and on the bus ride home. although i cannot do much to the level of sound/noise it produces (its low is as loud as its high when the batteries are quite charged up), and it seems to be turning me soon-to-be-deaf or i'm losing a bit of my sense of hearing due to it...the job of providing entertainment is commendable.
from 'sports for life' sticker to nothing-on-its-case to part of my great name engraved on it tgt with "maybe", "good luck!!", "halu&aki", the receiver has come quite a long way. even though quite a few times i've mentioned, "it doesn't bother me if the receiver is gone(either someone stole it or sth), just leave my blue earpiece alone.", "can take my receiever, but must return my earpiece" and etc, when it actually hits u (losing the receiver, including the earpiece), ahhh...the world seems to go partially dark. sounds exaggerated?! maybe. this thingy has been with me for a year plus, it is beginning to be part of me, part of my life.
RIP my receiver. however, i still bear a teeny weeny hope that i can find you back. life without you, is not entirely entertainment-less. i do have my poratable dvd player and a much comfortable earpiece but not as cool as the blue one.
ok. enuff of appreciation. i think in the future if i read this back, i'll be laughin my head off and/or i'll be feeling =.= it's exaggerated and a bit/quite silly! lol. time for guitar practising! didn't practised for a few days already. a bit guilty.
