there's no such thing as the curse of the Shanghai circuit! the curse was broken by Michael Schumacher who did fantastically wonderful in today's race! haha. this entry is kinda late coz the race ended 10 hours ago, but who cares! haha. and i know i might be boring some people who reads my blog, but who cares! haha! schumi's the greatest! WHAHAHHA.

anyway, this race was quite a miracle drive by schumi. things were looking ok on friday practices and sat morning practice...then it went terrible on qualifying. but the cards were turned and lady luck shines on schumi! hehez.

of coz, this race shows many people why schumi should be/is no doubt one of the best f1 drivers. during qualifying, when almost all the bridgestone runners were out, he was the sole bridgestone runner still in the top 10 shootout. he tried his best with the tyres that weren't suitable for the weather conditions and he managed a sixth, which wasn't that bad.
the team began to do the 'damage limitation exercise' for race day. but the damage limitation exercise turned into something much more wonderful - a victory!
alonso pushed too hard during the start of the race which caused the left front tyre to be badly worn out, hence he has to change his front two tyres, so he can't keep up the pace which the others were doing, who didn't change their tyres. on his 2nd pitstop, he had a problem with the rear wheel nut and it caused him a whole lot of time crucial for the race.
all the drivers switched into dry tyres, which at that time was the sensible thing to do, but the tyres needed some warming up to do. this enabled michael to overtake fisichella who had a little problem with the track with his dry tyres, coming out from his pit stop at turn one, . i would say that was a risky yet deciding manoevre which helped michael to claim his victory in Shanghai...breaking the curse and "equalising" the championship position with alonso.
(they are not really 'equalised' in a way, as, if both of them have the same championship points in the end, michael will still get the world champion title as he has won a race more than alonso)

with michael's genius, his driving skills, a little lady luck and mother nature's help (it started to drizzle 3 laps before the race ended..phew~), who says michael isn't one of the best?!

p.s. i'm thinking of goin to kinokuniya sometime maybe this week or nxt week to find & buy f1 magazines on schumi...anyone want to accompany me?! hehez.
